She was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington and returned there to work after graduating from veterinary school. She has three dogs, Meagan, Tuff and Lucy and one cat, Mugsy. I began working at Pacific Northwest Veterinary Hospital in January, 2000. In 2005 I passed the state boards to obtain my license as a registered veterinary technician. I am an active member of the NAVTA and have taken a special interest in veterinary dentistry. In 2007, I became qualified as a veterinary dental technician and a member of the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, Knut, and 5 year old daughter Fiona. During the summer we spend many weekends at the Patterned Speed Horse Association shows, while Fiona competes in games on her pony Mindy. The rest of the year we are enjoying swimming lessons or singing class, and sometimes visiting family across the U.S. or even Europe!
